Switch created a powerful direct mail piece that would inspire the generosity of a community that is routinely petitioned for monetary support.
Earlier in 2014, Bosom Buddies, an organization devoted to helping victims and families affected by breast cancer, approached Switch for help with a new fundraising opportunity. Switch helped create a direct mail program that aimed to resonate with recipients more than the average pledge drive.
Unlike many organizations whose efforts support breast cancer awareness at large, our program centered on the work of a particular doctor conducting cutting-edge research in the use of genomics to study breast cancer. Highlighting the efforts of Dr. Ron Bose and his team at the Siteman Cancer Center allowed us to show potential donors exactly where their money would go. It also helped us to instill a new sense of hope by demonstrating the impact of his research both locally and globally.
The pledge drive was Bosom Buddies’ most successful campaign to date, raising more than $120,000.00 over a 3-month period.
